acquisition of a development company in Chile; project development in the Middle-East,
and new market development in the US.
FIRST SOLAR
Senior Vice President and Regional Manager — The Americas
Responsible for all First Solar business development, project development, and module/
systems sales in North and South America, the company's largest region, totaling over
3,000 MW. Plants currently in operation and construction total over $8 billion in public
and private debt and equity financing, providing a stable, profitable cash flow for the
company. Led project and business development in Chile and other Latin American
countries, and provided project development and utility system support to the Middle
East, India, and Asia.
NEXTLIGHT RENEWABLE POWER
Chief Executive Officer
Founder and CEO of North America's largest independent utility-scale solar IPP, funded
by Energy Capital Partners. Formulated the business strategy of an independent,
technology-neutral, utility-scale solar development company to capture first-mover
opportunity, resulting in 1,000 MW of solar PPAs. NextLight Renewable Power was sold
to First Solar in 2010 after two years for $300 million.
PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY
Director, Power Contracts
Responsible for PG&E's commercial power procurement, including buying renewable
energy to meet the California Renewable Portfolio Standard. Strategic responsibility for
Company's overall renewables program. Member of the post-California energy
crisis electricity supply leadership responsible for procuring and managing energy,
capacity, and ancillary services to "keep the lights on."
U. S. GENERATING COMPANY /
PG&E NATIONAL ENERGY GROUP
Vice President - Western Region
Founding member of Joint Venture IPP between PG&E & Bechtel. Won PPA auctions
and closed financings on 1,400 MW of generating assets. Extensive power and gas
transaction experience.
EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT,
U.S. OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET
Budget Representative overseeing U.S. Transportation and Energy agencies; liaison to
OMB Director, the Executive Office, and Congress.
